Process improvement and automation does not have be synonymous with more expensive, it just needs to be smarter. A prevalent myth within the industry seems to be that it takes considerable investment, risk and time for process improvements to pay off. On the ends of the spectrum we have manufacturers under-tooled using generic methods - shying from the "risks" of process improvement.
