Does Fracking Really Cause Earthquakes You Ask?

Is it possible that earthquakes can be caused by the new oil and gas extraction process called; fracking? Yes, of course it is possible, and actually likely in many cases depending on the geology of the specific area. However, we shouldn't expect large earthquakes to occur from this - rather we should expect small earthquakes perhaps in the magnitude of 1 to 3 on the Richter scale but probably not much more than that.
