In the production and servicing environments, it is pretty close to inevitable that operational staff will need to handle vibrating power tools in carrying out their endeavors. Exposure to vibration energy transmitted into the employees' hands in the course of such labors may effect soft tissue damage, commonly referred to as hand-arm vibration syndrome. This is also described as Variant Raynaud's Disease or more commonly Vibration White Finger.
